COMMUNICATION POLICY

How we stay in touch between sessions

The best way to reach me is always by email at mollie@mattercollab.com. My primary business days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with brief email check-ins on Mondays. I am committed to responding to emails within a week, and I will do my best to get back to you sooner when I can.

It is important to me that, as I support clients in being present and sustaining their work, I live these practices myself. I will make sure to discuss communication in our early work together, so I can sustain giving clients full presence during our sessions, and take care of my mind, body, heart, and relationships.

For urgent matters

Text is reserved for unavoidable last-minute schedule changes only. For same day cancellations, a brief text is appropriate. For everything else, email is always the right place to start.

Please note that Matter Collab is not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone you know is in immediate distress, please contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency services.

When I am away

If I am traveling or will be away from email, I will always let you know in advance so you are never left wondering. During planned time away, response times may be longer than usual and I will communicate any extended delays before they happen. If I am out unexpectedly, you will receive an auto-reply with information on when to expect a response.

A note on our communication container

How we approach communication between sessions is part of the work too. For your safety and privacy, therapy content should not be shared with me via email or on social media. Clear, intentional communication is one of the ways we build and maintain a container that supports what we are doing together inside sessions. As I work with clients to be intentional about sustainability in their lives, I put this into practice as well. I hold this core to my work, and I appreciate your partnership in holding it with me.
